Welcome to February 17th on the National Day Calendar.  Today we celebrate priceless gifts and what to get for the man who has everything.  More after the break from our founder, Marlo Anderson.

Mark Twain once said that “Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” During Random Acts of Kindness Day, many people are learning that the benefits of kindness go both ways to both the giver and receiver.  For this reason the day grows in popularity each year and tends to extend far beyond one simple act or two. See for yourself what celebrating this simple idea can mean in your life and the priceless gift of a random act.

While President’s Day was once thought to observe the birthdays of two American Presidents, Washington and Lincoln, this Federal holiday now encompasses all past United States Presidents that have served our country.  Celebrated on the third Monday in February with public ceremonies in Washington, D.C. and throughout the United States, this day gives us a well deserved day off, which may be just the birthday present most Presidents wished for most!
