Transcript for March 21st

Welcome to March 21st, 2020 on the National Day Calendar.  Today we celebrate the “one stick wonder” and the sweet ride of following your nose.  More after the break from our founder, Marlo Anderson.

Of all the achievements in the history of State and county fair foods perhaps none is greater than… the corn dog. This modern marvel was originally served on a hot dog bun till someone took it’s genius to the next level by serving it on a stick.   Now you can neatly stroll past the exhibits and livestock without fear of unleashing a floodgate of mustard and ketchup down your shirt. Celebrate National Corn Dog Day with the classic fair food that is head and shoulders above it’s deep-fried brethren.

And if “deep fried” is not your catnip, head to the perfume counter and find your happy place among it’s crystal bottles.  Nothing transports our imagination quite like a fragrance can. A scented soap or favorite flower, the ocean air or even a piece of furniture can conjure associations with our past.  Sure there is hard science behind it, but why not let your nose be the guide down memory lane. On National Fragrance Day, take a ride on the olfactory train. Just make sure it’s going somewhere pleasant.
