If you witnessed the famous play between band geeks and the football team who scored unexpectedly in the final harrowing seconds of a college game, you will know that marching bands are a formidable foe!  These experts of “music on the go” are celebrated on Marching Music Day to appreciate their diverse styles and backgrounds as well as their ability to whip up a crowd with their spectacular performances. At any given game, parade or grand arena nothing quite excites like a drum line, drill squad, or color guard can.  On Marching Music Day celebrate the geeks who make our hearts beat faster!

May 4th has its place with Star Wars fans, but March 4th inspires us to honor the real life heroes that serve our country every day.  National Hug a G.I. Day was founded on “March forth” to remind us to nurture the softer side of our men and women serving in the armed forces with a well deserved and often needed hug.  If you have ever been touched by videos of the reunion of military families after a long tour has separated them, “get in there” and don’t hold back your own affection. On National Hug a G.I. Day see what a little warmth will do to melt the “Galvanized Iron” of our beloved G.I.s.
