If you witnessed the famous play between band geeks and the football team who scored unexpectedly in the final harrowing seconds of a college game, you will know that marching bands are a formidable foe! May 4th has its place with Star Wars fans, but March 4th inspires us to honor the real life heroes that serve our country every day. National Hug a G.I. Day was founded on “March forth” to remind us to nurture the softer side of our men and women serving in the armed forces with a well deserved and often needed hug.
