If nothing says “cookie love” like the harmony of an Oreo cookie and milk, then celebrate this perfect union on National Oreo Cookie Day. Also known as “Oreo Biscuits” in 1912, when they arrived on the mean streets of New York, these new kids faired better as the “Oreo Sandwich”.  First sold for 25 cents a pound in glass topped, novelty cans, they improved their chances for success with a makeover that included the Nabisco Logo and a final filling formula which vaulted them to fame and their very own National Cookie Day. Enjoy this late bloomer who still makes us weak in the knees.

And if you’re also celebrating National Dentist’s Day, you might wanna brush up those teeth. No need for anxiety, however, as most dentists today go the extra mile to improve your smile, pain free.  In this case an ounce of prevention is certainly worth a pound of cure, and all those good oral hygiene habits will keep the Steve Martin, Little-Shop-of-Horrors kind of dentist at bay.
